Here is the Lund
Grapple mounted on our Terex loader. It has a standard Bobcat
toolbar mounting. |
 |
For sure it will pick
up logs. Mary is biting into a Hickory 16'dia x 16' long. |
 |
But it will also bite
into other things. Here I'm pulling an old cedar stump about 10' dia.
No problem but I would try this on a hickory. |
 |
Erik Lund said you
could pull small trees with the grapple. The first I tried it on was
a cedar about as big as my forearm and at least 10' tall. I just
smashed down on it and clamped. I found I didn't really have to
pull, I just retroacted the boom and it ripped right out. |
 |
I found I could pull
clumps of cedars out with one bite. Just yawn the jaws open and set
it on ground level. Clamp it closed and retract the boom. |
 |
Before the fun could begin,
we had to get a couple of Bobcat standard coupliers (background) and get a
flow control valve installed. Shouldn't have to have the flow
control valve but the Terex auxiliary hydraulic line had an open center
valve. |

I've also pulled
steel fence post, gate post that were nearly 4' in the ground.
We've found it real handy to pick up butted off chunks and other items to
odd shape to fork up or get into a bucket. |
